About Me

My photo
I am a mother of one tween and two teens and the wife of a man who I love. I am the follower of a Lord and Savior that is living, real and my everything. I love to spend time with friends, even though I don't do it very often, I love my job and I love going to my kids sports events. I golf with my husband, even though I don't do it well, he is always very patient with me. My life is good, not perfect, but good. I am happy.

Two weeks in another land

Oh, I thought it was another land, but it turns out that my husband was home and we were actually here, in the same house, same town and around the same people. It's funny how one person can change the way you do things so very quickly. Don't get me wrong, I love and adore my husband, but he was gone for eight months then home for two weeks. Some how during the last two weeks my life changed, not necessarily in a bad way, just different. We got together with family, friends, took the kids out etc. it's not like we secluded ourselves or anything, it just added a new dimension to life, one that we, unfortunately, had gotten used to not having around. So, now he's gone for a few days, then back home to pick up his car, then gone again to his new home in Wabowden. He should be home for Christmas by the sounds of things and we are definitely excited about that! But for now we have to get used to not having him around again, I don't like it, but we do what we must, right?!?
I was asked to do this meme by a few people quite a while ago. My hubby was home for two weeks and for two weeks we've been running steady. It's funny how one person can put such a different twist on your life and how you live each day. Any way, he left today and so now I thought I would take some time for myself and actually do this. So, here you go....

Happy, happy, happy!

In five short days my hubby will be home for two whole weeks! The kids and I are so very excited! We have not seen him for eight months now and we miss him so very much. He has been up North for to long and we want him home, but this will not come to pass for some time yet. He is moving shortly, but not here, he is going to Wabowden. I know, where's Wabowden you ask. Well, actually I know where it is, we've lived close to there before, but it's still up North and it's stilll not home with us. We do however have two weeks with him and for that we are thankful and excited. So, if you think of us, please pray not just for strength and patience, but for his safety so that God can return him to us healthy, happy and whole.

Thanks in advance for all the prayers that will be sent up and also for those that have already gone up!
